Crazy gadget melts cold butter sticks into additional spray
Ever gazed longingly at a stick of butter and notion, “If only I could instantaneously transform that cold hunk of dairy into a fair mist of warm buttery goodness?” Entrepreneur Doug Foreman, founder of Beanitos snack chips, had that thought and did something about it.
Foreman’s invention is requested “the biēm,” but that diacritical mark over the “e” is too much to deal with, so we’ll pick to it as “Biem” from here on out. Biem is today raising funds on Kickstarter.
Butter has long been the king of first-world kitchen problems. It’s so delicious, but it’s cold when you take it out of the fridge and it can be a pain to try to spread near, as it tears up your toast and leaves a tasty but monstrous mess. Don’t even get me started on the hot-corn conundrum. Biem wants to solve all of that.
You insert an entire stick of butter inside the canister-shaped Biem. Press the button and out the butter comes in the form of a spray. If the gadget works as advertised, you won’t have to go to the detain and buy those weird butter-flavored oil sprays ever again.
If you’re one of those republic who’s avoiding butter for some reason, you can alternatively load Biem with cooking oil and use the spray feature that way. Foreman initiates the patent-pending nozzle won’t clog. The device has a rechargeable battery and can be considered out or in the refrigerator.
Biem is touching for a $99 (about £70) early-bird pledge price. Yes, that’s a bit pricey for a kitchen gadget, but your desire to pay is probably directly related to your mild of passion for butter.
So how well does Biem really work? We’ll have to wait for the customer reviews to roll in if the Kickstarter project is crashed. The newly launched project has raised just over $6,000 toward a $42,000 (about £30,000) goal with 31 days to run. As unique, keep in mind that not all crowdfunding projects utter on time or as promised. But butter. Melty, sprayed butter. Butter.
